The background:

The Physiotherapy Clinic was opened in 2002 by Alison Nuttall and her business partner. Today, it is run by Alison and her daughter, Jen Austin. They are both experienced physiotherapists specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) health.

In 2011, The Physiotherapy Clinic’s admin team started using TM2 to manage admin and appointments. The clinic later upgraded to TM3, and while they used TM3 to manage the physiotherapists’ diaries, the admin team and Alison’s business partner at the time weren’t keen on using the online booking system available with TM3 Connect, preferring to take bookings over the phone or via email instead.

Alison was happy with TM3 but wanted to take advantage of more TM3 features, including online bookings, to reduce costs and save more time. Additionally, she wanted greater visibility and control over her diary.

“Our reception staff used to book people in over the phone or in response to an email request. I was not in charge of my diary; I was always full but not always with the right people! I got a lot of repeat business which is good, but I wanted more new clients.”

The project:

In 2023, Alison downscaled The Physiotherapy Clinic and brought her daughter on as a partner. She switched to TM3 Connect and started using TM3Pay, TM3’s built-in payment product, to cut costs and save time.

Today, the clinic uses TM3 Connect to manage all admin work and take online bookings and TM3Pay to accept card payments and automate payment reconciliation. TM3 saves Alison and Jen time and allows the mother-daughter team to complete all their admin work without extra staff.

The result:

Since using TM3 Connect and TM3Pay, The Physiotherapy Clinic has achieved the following:

“We take online bookings now, which is very popular and accounts for, I think, more than half our bookings. TM3Pay is fabulous as we can easily take a card payment at the end of each appointment, and it will automatically reconcile the account without any further admin required by us.”
